The standard
This site aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What's in place
- Pages use proper headings, landmarks and labels, so they work with screen readers
- Everything can be used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a skip link
- Text colours are checked for contrast against the background
- The example sites on the homepage are decorative and hidden from screen readers, and the cycling headline word has a plain text version for them
- If you've asked your device to reduce motion, nothing cycles or animates
- Text can be zoomed to 200% without breaking the layout
Known issues
- The example sites on the homepage change every few seconds. Hovering over them pauses the rotation, and turning on "reduce motion" stops it.
- The example sites need JavaScript. Without it, the homepage shows text only, with nothing missing.
